
C Ventures and Highland lead $20m series-A for Threads
C Ventures and Highland Europe have led a $20m series-A funding round for UK-based online clothing and accessories retailer Threads.
The business will undertake a recruitment drive following the deal, with the hiring of at least 50 additional team members. It will also pursue international expansion with the opening of new offices in Hong Kong and New York.
According to a statement issued by the investors, the business has doubled its turnover each year for the past four years.

Founded in 2010, London-headquartered Threads is an online platform that provides personalised styling services and sells clothing, jewellery and accessories. The company's personal shopping team builds a social media relationship with customers through platforms including WhatsApp, Instagram, Snapchat and WeChat. Threads currently has a headcount of 90.
