LDC-backed Pelsis bolts on Curtis Gilmour
Pest control business Pelsis, a portfolio company of LDC, has acquired US-based competitor Curtis Gilmour from private equity house Harwood Capital.
The transaction comes a year after LDC backed the management buyout of Pelsis from US-based GP Wind Point Partners.
Following the deal, the consolidated business will have a turnover of around €125m, with operations in 15 countries and a total headcount of around 420.
Pelsis had also pursued an acquisitive and international growth strategy under its previous owners and most recently bolted on Tanaco in 2016 and Eidalux (then known as SX Environmental Supplies) in 2015.
Company
Headquartered in Jackson, Georgia, Curtis Gilmour is a provider of professional and retail pest control products. Its brands include B&G Equipment, Curtis Dyna-Fog, Agrisense and Silvandersson. The company also has manufacturing facilities in Wales and Sweden.
