Mobeus-backed Ski Solutions buys Wilderness Scotland
Mobeus Equity Partners has invested £3.1m to finance the bolt-on of tour operator Wilderness Scotland for its portfolio company Ski Solutions.
The group has been renamed to Active Travel Group, which will comprise the brands Ski Solutions, Wilderness Scotland, Wilderness Ireland, BSpoke and Cycling for Softies. It expects to generate sales of more than £25m in 2018 and will employ a total of 75 people.
It is the first bolt-on since Mobeus's initial £6.3m investment in the buyout of Ski Solutions in August 2017.
Both the original investment and the expansion capital were drawn from Mobeus Fund IV, a £166m buyout fund that has invested £66m since holding a first close in July 2016.

Wilderness Scotland is a tour operator based in Aviemore, Scotland. It offers a range of walking, cycling and kayaking tours in Scotland, the North of England and Ireland through its sister brand Wilderness Ireland.
