Livingbridge backs £2.5m series-A for Equipsme
Livingbridge has led a £2m investment in corporate health plan provider Equipsme's series-A funding round.
Livingbridge drew capital for the investment from the Baronsmead Venture Capital Trusts.
Health insurance company Axa PPP provided the company with an initial seed investment earlier in the year.
The round also included investment from unnamed angel investors and expects to close on £2.5m.
The fresh capital will be used to scale up the company's distribution network. It will target the 95% of companies that do not offer private medical insurance, according to a statement. The business currently has 250 customers and aims to hit 2,000 in the next 12 months.
Company
Equipsme sells health insurance to UK-based SMEs with between two and 249 employees. Diagnosis and treatment are provided by private health insurance provider Axa PPP. The company is headquartered in London and currently employs six full time staff, an intern and a contractor.
