Advance Venture leads $15m series-B for Clippings
US-headquartered venture capital house Advance Venture Partners has led a $15m series-B funding round for Clippings, an online platform for interior design.
Previous backer C4 Ventures, a European venture firm focused on early-stage startups, also took part in the round.
Following the deal, Courtney Robinson, partner at Advance Venture, will join Clippings' board of directors.
The company plans to use the fresh capital to expand internationally and accelerate its technology development to connect discovery, sourcing, organisation, communication and logistics for interior design.
Previous funding
Clippings raised a £2.8m series-A round led by C4 Ventures in February 2017.
Company
Founded in 2014, Clippings operates an online marketplace for sourcing and buying furniture, lighting and accessories. Through its platform, the company offers around four million products from 850 high-end design brands including Flos, Casamania, Gubi and Moroso.
Clippings is headquartered in London and has engineering and content teams in Bulgaria, as well as a team of data specialists in the Philippines.
