
Three Hills invests in Recycling Lives
Three Hills Capital Partners has invested £50m for a minority stake in UK-based waste management company Recycling Lives.
Financial details of the transaction remain undisclosed, though Three Hills typically writes equity cheques of €20-60m.
The business is currently undertaking a nationwide expansion strategy, and opened two new facilities in July and August, the first in Durham in the North-East of England and the second in Falkirk, Scotland.
The business has grown significantly in recent years, increasing its revenues by 47% and its EBITDA by 46% in the year ending in September 2017, according to publicly available documents.

Headquartered in Preston, Recycling Lives is a recycling and waste management business. The company processes end-of-life vehicles for recyclable metals and plastics. The company generated a turnover of £46.5m and EBITDA of £6.1m in the year ending in September 2017.
Around 40% of its employees are former prisoners or homeless people, and Recycling Lives donates 10% of its revenues to charitable causes. It also provides training and work experience programmes for marginalised people.
