
Piper leads £15m funding round for Bloom & Wild
Consumer-focused PE firm Piper has invested £11m in a £15m funding round for London-based flower delivery service Bloom & Wild.
Existing investors MMC Ventures, Burda Principal Investments and unnamed angel investors also took part in the financing.
Piper drew capital from its sixth fund, Piper Private Equity VI, which has recently closed on its £125m hard-cap. It is the fourth investment from the new vehicle.
Piper’s Jax Unsworth will be joining the Bloom & Wild board.
Previous funding
MMC led a £2.5m growth capital round for Bloom & Wild in July 2015. Samos Investments and Catamaran Ventures also took part.
MMC was joined by Burda to inject a further £3.75m into the business in February 2017.
Company
Bloom & Wild is a London-based flower delivery service, founded in 2013. The company has a mobile application for customising and submitting orders and has delivered more than 50 million flowers since inception.
