Mobeus backs Preservica with £7.5m series-B
Mobeus has invested £7.5m in Preservica, a digital preservation software firm.
The investment provides an initial £4m with a facility for a further £3.5m. Preservica plans to scale up globally while also investing in product development. It said its revenue was being boosted by its focus on features like information security and GDPR compliance.
The series-B is Mobeus' 11th investment this year. It drew capital for the transaction from its four VCTs.
Mobeus said Preservica was well-matched to support organisations grappling with rapid growth in digital content, pressure to decommission legacy applications and increasingly stringent compliance.
Company
Established in Oxford in 2012, Preservica protects long-term digital information for businesses and organisations. It is available both as a cloud-hosted SaaS or on-site service and its clients include HSBC, the World Bank and BT.
