ECI-backed IT Lab acquires Content and Code

The combined business expects a turnover of £60m and IT Lab's headcount has been boosted from 450 to 500.

ECI acquired IT support and consultancy business IT Lab with equity from its 10th fund in July 2016. The value was not disclosed but the vehicle generally focuses on buyout investments in firms with an enterprise value of between £20-150m. 

Through the acquisition, IT Lab has expanded its portfolio of supported software to include Office365, M365, Azure, Dynamics 365 and Sharepoint.

Content and Code founder Tim Wallis has taken on the role of chief digital officer at IT Lab.

It is the second bolt-on IT Lab has made, following the acquisition of cybersecurity firm Perspective Risk in May last year.
