Bregal Milestone backs Arkphire
Bregal Milestone has invested in Dublin-based IT specialist Arkphire.
Following the deal, Bregal Milestone's partners, Cyrus Shey and John Hales, will join the company's board.
The GP invested via its debut private capital fund, which held a final close on €400m in July 2018. This is the first investment made by the fund, which deploys tickets between €20-60m in exchange for non-controlling stakes in European companies operating in the technology, healthcare, consumer, business services, high-value manufacturing and specialty finance sectors.
Arkphire plans to use the fresh capital to scale up its business, consolidate its market position and boost its growth, both organically and through acquisitions.
Company
Founded in 2011 and headquartered in Dublin, Arkphire develops, supplies and manages IT products and networks, from desktop computers to data centres, for customers across Europe, the Middle East, Africa and the Asia-Pacific region. The company employs 90 staff and generated EBITDA of €2.4m from a turnover of €74.1m in 2017. It expects to exceed revenues of €90m in 2018.
