Dawn Capital leads £22.9m round for Garrison
Dawn Capital has led a £22.9m funding round for Garrison Technology, a UK-based developer of secure web browsing software.
IP Group, BGF and NM Capital also took part in the round, which will enable the company to undertake international expansion, with a particular focus on the US market. Garrison will look to expand its engineering team and invest in product development, as well as sales and marketing activity.
Following the deal, IP Group will hold a 23.4% stake in Garrison valued at £28.8m. The investor contributed £3.8m to the latest round.
Previous funding
Touchstone Innovations led a £12m series-A for Garrison in March 2017, alongside BGF, NM Capital and other angel investors. Touchstone invested £3.85m in the funding round.
IP Group then inherited Touchstone's share after acquiring the fund manager later that year.
Company
Founded in 2014, London-headquartered Garrison Technology develops secure web browsing software enabling users to access sites that have been flagged as potentially containing malware or leading to data loss. The software converts content from potentially high-risk web links to a simple stream of pixels and protects users against phishing problems.
