Palatine-backed Verdant bolts-on Queensberry Bay Holiday Park
Verdant Leisure, a holiday park operator backed by Palatine, has purchased Queensberry Bay Holiday Park & Spa.
The bolt-on is Verdant's fifth since it was acquired by Palatine in April 2016 in a deal worth £40m. Verdant now controls nine leisure parks.
Palatine said the deal continues the company's growth strategy to create a strong regional group with significant scale, and plans to add further parks to the group next year.
Company
Located on the south-west Scottish coast, Queensberry is a 37-acre retreat offering holiday packages. Facilities include a spa, sauna, pool and hot tub.
Verdant was formed in 2010 following a management buy-in of Dunhuam Leisure, itself established in 1999. Verdant now operates 3,000 pitches of privately owned lodges, holiday homes, holiday lettings and touring facilities.
