Mercia in Arc funding round
Mercia Fund Managers has taken part in a funding round for UK-headquartered electric motorcycle startup Arc.
The funding round was led by Jaguar Land Rover's corporate venture arm InMotion Ventures and coincides with the company's official launch of its debut vehicle, Arc Vector, at the Milan Motorcycle Show.
Mercia made the investment with capital drawn from its £23m vehicle Proof-of-Concept and Early Stage Equity Fund, part of the Midlands Engine Investment Fund. The fund, for which Mercia won the mandate in February 2018, is backed by the European Union's European Regional Development Fund and the British Business Bank, and invests up to £750,000 in funding rounds worth up to £2m.
