
Draper Esprit leads $31m round for Fluidic Analytics
Draper Esprit has led a $31m funding round for Fluidic Analytics, a UK-based biotechnology equipment company.
New investors BGF and Delin Ventures also took part in the round, alongside existing backers IQ Capital and Amadeus Capital Partners.
Following the deal, Fluidic will accelerate the commercial roll-out of its products and invest in research and development, specifically identifying new clinical applications for its protein-focused products. The company is in the process of launching its Fluidity One product, which analyses changes in protein size caused by folding, aggregation and interaction with other proteins.
Previous funding
Draper Esprit, IQ, Parkwalk Advisors, Amadeus and Cambridge Enterprise Seed Fund took part in a £1.56m series-A for the business in 2015 in order to support the commercial launch of the company's products.
The following year, IQ led a £5.3m series-B for Fluidic, with Amadeus, Cambridge Enterprise, Parkwalk and Draper Esprit also taking part.
