BGF invests £6m in cloud consultant TIG
UK growth investor BGF has invested £6m in TIG, an IT consultancy specialising in cloud services.
The investment will support TIG’s organic growth and acquisition strategy, which has already begun with the acquisition of netConsult, a firm providing IT transformational services and cyber security for the alternative investment sector.
TIG said the acquisition of netConsult would expand its offering by bringing deeper expertise in financial services.
BGF investor Mark Nunny has joined TIG’s board. He said there was significant opportunity for growth in the sector and expects many mid-market firms will need to move to the cloud over the next five years.
Company
Founded in 1999, TIG is an IT consultancy currently focused on helping mid-market firms transition to the cloud. It is based in Watford. Following the acquisition of netConsult, the company will have 90 staff.
