
BGF backs kitchen designer UForm
BGF has acquired a minority stake in Northern Ireland-based kitchen components supplier UForm.
BGF invested in the company alongside Danske Bank.
Following the deal, BGF's Graham Clarke will join the board of UForm as investment director, while Jim Meredith will take on the role of non-executive chair.
The company intends to use the fresh capital to further expand its offering in the UK, Northern Ireland and the Republic of Ireland. In addition, UForm plans to invest in new technologies and increase its production capabilities.
This is the fifth investment made by BGF in Northern Ireland over the last three years, following the backing of housebuilder Braidwater, recycling company RiverRidge, coffee and food shop chain Bob & Berts, and software developer AuditComply.

Founded in 1993 by the Donnelly family and headquartered in Antrim, Northen Ireland, UForm designs and finishes a range of kitchen doors, accessories and components. The company supplies around 1,000 kitchens a week and sells its products in the UK and the Republic of Ireland. UForm recorded a turnover of £29.3m in the 2017/18 financial year and expects to reach revenues of £34m in 2019.
