Horizon's Sabio bolts on Callware
Horizon Capital portfolio company Sabio Group has acquired Callware, a Spanish developer of messaging and telephony software.
The transaction comes two and a half years after Lyceum Capital acquired a 56% majority stake in Sabio in a deal valuing the business at £50m. Lyceum's management established Horizon as a spin-out in 2018 and subsequently took on the mandate to continue managing the £330m fund Lyceum Capital III.
The acquisition of Callware forms part of an international acquisitive expansion strategy for Sabio that has seen it acquire Rapport, Datapoint Europe and Bright UK to date.
Company
Founded in 2001, Madrid-headquartered Callware develops unified messaging and telephony software for contact centres. The business has additional operations in Mexico and its clients include Atento, Banco Sabadell, BBVA, Orange and Securitas.
