Endless's Go Plant acquires assets from Gulliver's
Endless portfolio company Go Plant Fleet Services has acquired parts of the business and assets of UK-based truck and lorry rental business Gulliver's Truck Hire in a deal valued at ТЃ13m.
The deal comes around a month after the Bristol-based target was placed into administration, in a process overseen by KPMG that saw 311 people made redundant.
It also comes three and a half years after Endless acquired Essential Fleet Services, and 18 months after the business bolted on Go Plant to create the Go Plant Fleet Services group.
According to a statement issued by the GP, the enlarged group will generate a turnover of around £85m. The firm also said many of the vehicles included in the deal are already contracted to waste and environmental services companies, in addition to local authorities.
Company
Headquartered in Bristol and founded in 1960, Gulliver's is a rental provider of commercial trucks and lorries. At the time of entering into administration, it had a fleet of 4,500 trucks.
