LDC's Lucid bolts on Bluedog
LDC-backed medical communications and consultancy business Lucid Group Communications has acquired UK-based healthcare-focused digital design agency Bluedog.
The transaction is the first bolt-on acquisition made by Lucid since LDC invested £11m for a minority stake in the business 20 months ago.
The company is also pursuing expansion in the US, having entered the American market in 2016. In January this year, its subsidiary Lighthouse Medical Communications US moved into larger premises in New York, with the group stating that the subsidiary has grown five-fold in the previous four years.
Lucid said in a statement that it plans to make further acquisitions during the course of 2019.

Founded in 1996, London-headquartered Bluedog is a healthcare-focused digital consultancy, specialising in creative design, digital design, motion graphics, video development and web design.
