
Downing Ventures leads £6.5m investment in Imagen
Several VCs have backed a ТЃ6.5m funding round for Imagen, an SaaS video management platform.
Downing Ventures led the round, with Guinness Asset Management and existing investor Cambridge Innovation Capital also participating.
Imagen said its revenue grew by 88% in 2018 after adding new clients such as Formula One, The Premier League, World Tennis Association, BP, Reuters and the BBC. It will use the funding to expand its global operations with a focus on Europe and the US, where it will be ramping up its sales and marketing presence.

Established in 1996 as Cambridge Imaging Systems, Imagen is a B2B SaaS video management platform that firms can use to distribute and monetise video content. Its client list includes a number of sports organisations and media companies.
