Point72 Ventures invests in PolyAI
Point72 Ventures has led a $12m series-A funding round for conversational artificial intelligence software developer PolyAI.
Sands Capital Ventures, Amadeus Capital Partners, Passion Capital and Entrepreneur First also participated in the round.
PolyAI plans to use the capital to integrate with contact centres to improve margins and productivity. Partnerships with contact centres could come from mergers and acquisitions, investment, or other profit-sharing arrangements. The capital will also be used to expand the team and improve the platform.
Point72 partner Sri Chandrasekar will join the board following the funding round.
Previous funding
Amadeus and Passion Capital invested $2.4m in the company in a seed round in 2017.
