
BGF invests in Operam to support double bolt-on
BGF has invested in UK-headquartered education recruitment business Operam Education Group to support the acquisitions of Teachers UK and The Education Specialists.
Financial details of the transaction remain undisclosed, though BGF makes initial investments of up to £10m.
The business will look to make further bolt-on acquisitions in the next three years, according to a statement.
As part of the deal, former Hays managing director and Red Commerce CEO will take on the role of non-executive chairperson at Operam.
HSBC also provided funding to support the deal.

Founded in 2017 via the acquisition of Provide Education and headquartered in Barnsley, Operam is a group of education-focused recruitment businesses.
The Education Specialists was founded in 2002 and operates from offices in Liverpool and Manchester, while Teachers UK is headquartered in Mansfield.
