
Aquiline-backed Clearcourse buys Circdata
Aquiline Capital Partners portfolio company Clearcourse Partnership has acquired event management software company Circdata.
It is the fifth acquisition Clearcourse has made since it was established with Aquiline's backing in October 2018.
The holding company was set up as a buy-and-build strategy in the membership software services space.
Since its foundation, it has acquired four other UK-based software and service providers: MillerTech, Silverbear, Clear Direct Debit and APT Solutions.
Following the acquisition, Circdata will be led by incoming managing director Chris Clipston and the existing management team. James Ormiston, Circdata's founder, will transition to an advisory and consulting role.
Company
Circdata was founded in 1994 and is headquartered in Newbury. The company provides exhibition and conference organisers with a software platform called Fusion, which offers a range of services including exhibitor management, visitor registration, ticket sales and subscriptions. It employs 55 people and has an additional office in Poland.
