
Origin invests £15m in Plexus Law
Origin Equity has invested £15m for a minority stake in UK-headquartered law firm Plexus Law.
The company will look to open new offices across the UK and Ireland following the deal. Origin partners Gavin Loughrey and Olivia Roberts will take seats on the Plexus board of directors.
Plexus has undertaken a recruitment drive with a particular focus on its senior management team in recent months. It recruited Kennedy's Fiona Scott as CEO in December 2018 and Clyde & Co's Gordon Walker as partner in October 2018. The company is also currently recruiting for the opening of new offices in Chelmsford and Taunton.

Headquartered in Leeds, Plexus provides legal services to insurance companies, corporate customers and public sector clients. The business has additional offices in London, Edinburgh, Leeds, Manchester and Evesham.
Plexus generated £10m in EBITDA from a turnover of £57m in the year ending in March 2018, according to publicly available documents. It has a headcount of 1,000.
