
BGF injects £6m into BB7 to support Omega Fire acquisition
BGF has invested £6m in UK-based fire safety consultancy BB7 to support the bolt-on of Omega Fire.
The acquisition marks the first stage in an acquisitive growth strategy for BB7, which is aiming to consolidate the fire safety and security consultancy market. The deal will also expand BB7's geographic footprint.
As part of the deal, BGF has introduced former Aecom and Driver Group non-executive director John Horgan as BB7 non-executive chairperson.

Founded in 2009 and headquartered in Camberley, Surrey, BB7 is a consultancy firm focusing on fire engineering, fire risk management, and security. It has a headcount of 60 across eight UK offices. BB7's clients include building developers, local authorities, housing associations, and hotel and leisure groups.
Manchester-headquartered Omega Fire was founded in 2009 and provides consultancy related to fire engineering, computational modelling and fire risk management.
