
Oxford leads £6.5m round for Weengs
Oxford Capital has led a £6.5m series-A funding round for UK-headquartered courier service Weengs.
The fresh capital will enable the company to invest in its automated warehouse and the development of its technology.
Existing backers LocalGlobe, Cherry Ventures and VentureFriends also took part in the funding round.
Previous funding
LocalGlobe, Seedcamp and Cherry Ventures took part in a £2.2m funding round for Weengs in 2016.
Company
Founded in 2015, London-headquartered Weengs provides courier services through an online platform. The company offers both collection and packing services, and arranges for consignments to be delivered by third party couriers. It has a headcount of 70.
