
Summit leads $33m round for A Cloud Guru
Summit Partners has led a $33m funding round for UK-headquartered IT training platform A Cloud Guru (ACG).
AirTree Ventures and existing backer Elephant also took part in the round, which will fund an international recruitment drive, product development, the expansion of ACG's content library and the introduction of new courses. The business recently launched a platform aimed at enterprise customers, with clients now including Dow Jones, Capital One DevExchange and Qualcomm.
Summit managing director Tom Jennings will take a seat on the ACG board of directors as part of the deal.
The VC is currently investing from $730m vehicle Summit Partners Venture Capital Fund IV, €700m vehicle Summit Partners Europe Growth Equity Fund II and $4.9bn vehicle Summit Partners Growth Equity Fund X.
