
Five Seasons et al. in €17.4m round for Butternut Box
Five Seasons Ventures and White Star Capital have led a €17.4m funding round for pet food producer and delivery platform Butternut Box.
Existing investors Passion Capital and Literacy Capital also took part in the round, with Kreos Capital providing a debt package to support the transaction.
The fresh capital will support the company's plans to expand its sales into continental Europe. According to a statement, the company's revenues grew by 700% year-on-year in 2018.
Former SkyBet CEO Richard Flint has been appointed to the Butternut Box board of directors as part of the deal.

Headquartered in London and founded in 2016, Butternut Box produces dog food and sells it direct to customers through its e-commerce platform. The business uses fresh ingredients to produce meals that are tailored according to a dog's breed, age, weight, gender and level of activity.
