
Maven invests in WaterBear Education
Maven Capital Partners has invested in private music college WaterBear Education.
Maven is currently investing from its Maven UK Regional Buyout Fund, which held a final close on €100m in March 2019. The fund looks to invest in small and medium-sized businesses with an EBITDA of £2-5m in the UK, with an enterprise value of between £10-40m. The fund makes investments of £5-15m.
The fresh capital will be used to support the company's digital strategy.
Previous funding
Maven invested in £1.1m in the company in 2018 to support its primary campus in Brighton and create additional sites in the future.

WaterBear is based in Brighton and provides a range of master of arts (MA) and bachelor of arts (BA) degree courses in creative subjects, in partnership with the University of Chichester. The company employs 40 tutors in addition to support staff.
