Värde Partners invests in LDC-backed Equiom
US-based PE firm Värde Partners has invested in LDC portfolio company Equiom.
Since its first buyout in 2006, Equiom has completed 24 acquisitions, and LDC supported a significant number of those during its holding period, including Ardel Trust, Lloyds Trust Company, Vivat Trust & Corporate Services, Equation HK and Links Group.
Värde said it will support the company's diversification and expansion into new markets.
Previous funding
Livingbridge (then Isis Equity Partners) backed the business in 2006, investing £13m in the company in return for a minority stake as part of a £33m transaction. The management buyout was led by Equiom's group managing director, Sheila Dean.
Under Livingbridge's ownership, Equiom made a number of bolt-ons, including the Isle of Man yachting and aviation business of Intertrust in 2011; Jersey-based Andium Trust in 2012; and Isle of Man-based City Trust in 2013.
Company
Equiom was founded in 1978 and is headquartered on the Isle of Man. It provides professional services including fiduciary and administrative functions to corporate and private clients.
