
August-backed PCS acquires Essex Pet Crematorium
August Equity portfolio company Pet Cremation Services (PCS) has acquired Essex Pet Crematorium.
The transaction is the second bolt-on made by PCS in the space of two months, with the group buying Norfolk Pet Crematorium in April 2019. It is the eighth acquisition since August Equity's initial investment in 2015 and brings the total number of sites within the group to 16.
HSBC provided acquisition facilities to support the latest transaction. August is invested in PCS via August Equity Partners III, which was fully deployed in March 2018 and invested equity tickets of £10-30m.
