Nauta in funding round for Abiquo
Nauta Capital has taken part in a funding round for UK-based portfolio company Abiquo, alongside Telefónica's incubator and venture division Wayra.
The value of the funding round remains undisclosed, though the business has raised numerous funding rounds of up to €7.5m over the course of the last nine years.
The fresh capital will enable the business to invest in product development, including the integration of its platform into various Telefónica business units, which the group in turn offers to its business customers.
The product is already used extensively in the group's Spanish operations, but Telefónica is aiming to roll it out across its Latin American operations by the end of 2019.
Previous funding
Nauta took part in a $5.1m series-A debt and equity round for Abiquo in 2010, alongside Caja Navarra, the Catalonian and Spanish governments, and Kreos Capital. Balderton then led a €7.5m series-B round for the company later that year, alongside Nauta and Eurecan.
In June 2012, Balderton returned to lead a $3m round for Abiquo alongside Nauta. Oxford Capital then led a $5m round for the business the following year, in a round that once again included participation from Balderton and Nauta.
Nauta has since raised four smaller funding rounds of up to $1m, according to Crunchbase.
