
PAI-backed M Group buys KHES
PAI Partners portfolio company M Group Services has acquired UK-based infrastructure support services firm KH Engineering Services (KHES).
The acquisition of KHES takes the total number of bolt-ons made by M Group to 10 since December 2016.
PAI acquired the business in a tertiary buyout from First Reserve in 2018, drawing equity from PAI Europe VI, a vehicle that generally makes equity investments of between €100-300m.
KHES will continue to operate as a standalone business and will retain its brand identity as part of M Group.

KHES was founded in 2011 and is headquartered in Stevenage. It provides mechanical and electrical engineering services to clients in the rail and wider transport sectors. It generated sales of £14m last year.
