Palatine-backed CET bolts on Esseltest
Palatine Private Equity has supported its portfolio company CET UK in the acquisition of construction materials testing company Esseltest.
This is the company's second bolt-on since Palatine's first investment in November 2018 following the acquisition of Enverity in February 2019, which Palatine also supported.
Palatine acquired a majority stake in CET UK from Dunedin, drawing capital from its third flagship fund. The vehicle closed on £220m in 2015 and typically writes equity cheques of £10-30m. According to publicly available documents, Dunedin held a 70% stake in the business.
Dunedin also implemented an inorganic growth strategy for the company, bolting on TriAqua in April 2018.
Palatine has stated it will support the company in future acquisitions.
