K1 invests $25m in AppLearn
California-based K1 Investment Management has invested $25m in digital adoption service AppLearn.
The fresh capital will be used for product development and to invest in sales and marketing. The company is planning to open an office in Boston and increase headcount in its Manchester office.
Previous funding
The North West Fund for Venture Capital, managed by Enterprise Ventures, and founder John Cavill committed £625,000 to the company. Each investor contributed half that amount to AppLearn.

AppLearn develops its Adopt software, which helps organisations optimise their investments in digital transformation. Founded in 2011, the company creates video tutorials that are embedded within software programmes. The multilingual videos can be accessed on demand from any device or location. Based in Manchester, the company has additional offices in London and San Francisco.
