Marlin invests in SmartSearch
Marlin Equity Partners has made a growth equity investment in anti-money laundering software firm SmartSearch.
The deal was sourced through an investment process organised by SmartSearch.
Marlin is currently investing from its Marlin Equity V vehicle, which closed on $2.5bn in 2017. The US-based fund commits between $75-300m per investment and was 20% deployed as of June 2019.
The fresh capital will be used to expand in the UK and create an international version of SmartSearch.

SmartSearch provides regulation technology software focused on anti-money laundering. Headquartered in Ilkley, the company was founded in 2011 and employs 50 staff.
