YFM invests £4.5m in SharpCloud
YFM Equity Partners has backed a £4.5m series-A investment for enterprise software business SharpCloud Software.
YFM invested via its two advised VCTs, British Smaller Companies VCT and British Smaller Companies VCT2, alongside its institutional fund YFM Equity Partners Growth II. The latter was launched in mid-2018, to co-invest with the VCTs on growth investments.
The series-A will support the continued growth and roll-out of SharpCloud's enterprise SaaS product. The company is planning to expand its team in both the UK and the US.
Company
Founded in 2012, SharpCloud develops software-as-a-service products for digital transformation teams, allowing them to structure and visualise data around enterprise risk management, portfolio management, business roadmapping and digital workshops.
SharpCloud claims its platform combines relationships and structured data with unstructured collateral – such as documents and videos – with the ability to visualise time and relationships across any business process.
