Index leads $30m series-B for Duffel
US-based venture capital investor Index Ventures has led a $30m series-B funding round for travel software company Duffel.
Index is currently investing from its $650m Index Ventures IX vehicle.
Existing investors Benchmark Capital and Blossom Capital also participated in the round.
Unquote understands that investors acquired stakes at >25x Duffel's revenue.
The fresh capital will be used to launch the company's new booking platform with airlines including American Airlines, British Airways and Lufthansa Group. It will also hire more software engineers, and expand into North America and Europe.
Previous funding
Blossom Capital led a $4.7m funding round in 2018. Kima Ventures, Index and Crankstart Foundation also participated. That year, Y Combinator also contributed $120,000 to the company.
Benchmark Capital led the company's $21.5m series-A in June 2019, with participation from Index and Blossom Capital.

Founded in 2017, Duffel allows travel agencies to access airlines' reservation systems to make bookings, access live seat availability and buy extra services. Headquartered in London, the company employs 15 people, according to LinkedIn.
