BGF injects £11m into Molson
BGF has invested a further £11m in Molson Group, a UK distributor of equipment to the construction and waste management sectors.
The investment is earmarked to fund Molson's existing sites and brands, as well as expand its international and waste management offerings. The group will notably redevelop its Avonmouth site, support new brands including Terex dump trucks, and continue to develop Molson Green, its distribution arm for waste management and recycling equipment.
BGF previously invested £6.3m into Molson in 2018 to accelerate growth and explore potential acquisitions. The business has since acquired Scottish equipment dealer Finlay Group and opened a new depot in Inverness.
Company
Founded in 1996 and based in Bristol, Molson provides equipment for the construction industry, including excavators, dump trucks, dozers, demolition rigs, and waste and materials handlers. The business has additional depots in Warrington, London, Kent, Stratford-upon-Avon and Doune.
Molson's turnover is now in excess of £200m, according to BGF. At the time of the first investment, it was standing at £155m.
