
Octopus, Downing and C4 in $21.8m round for Trouva
Octopus Ventures, Downing Ventures and C4 Ventures have led a $21.8m funding round for e-commerce service Trouva.
Existing investors BGF and LocalGlobe also joined the round.
Proceeds will be used for overseas expansion and software development, with a focus on logistics and inventory. The company launched in Berlin in 2018.
Previous funding
In 2013, Index Ventures and Octopus led a $1.2m seed funding round for StreetHub, as Trouva was then known. Co-investment was provided by Playfair Capital, Avonmore Developments and several angel investors.
Octopus led a $2.6m round of early-stage funding for the business in 2015. Index, Playfair and various angel investors also took part. The funding was used to support the launch and promotion of the new Trouva brand and website.
BGF led a $10m series-A in 2017, with participation from Index, Octopus, LocalGlobe, Playfair and Downing.
