Balderton leads €12.7m round for Jolt
Balderton Capital has led a тЌ12.7m investment round for business classes provider Jolt.
The firm is currently investing from its seventh-generation fund, which closed on $400m in November 2019. Typical equity cheques from the fund are $5-10m.
Existing investor Octopus Ventures also participated in the funding round, drawing equity from its Octopus Titan VCT.
The company plans to launch a campus in New York in 2020.
Previous funding
UpWest and Hillsven Capital led a $2m seed round for the company in 2016. Tank Hill Ventures and angel investor Gil Hirsch also participated.
Octopus Ventures led a $7.2m funding round for the company in 2018. Pico Venture Partners and Hillsven Capital also participated.

Jolt was founded in 2015 and has a headcount of 60. Jolt offers business-related classes and workshops, and allows students to achieve its own diploma, dubbed "Not An MBA". Headquartered in London, it operates campuses in Soho and Liverpool Street, as well as in Tel Aviv.
