
FTV leads £32m round for Liberis
US-based FTV Capital has led a £32m funding round for business financing provider Liberis.
The firm invests $10-85m in companies focusing on enterprise technology and services, financial services, and payments and transactions processing.
The fresh capital will go towards expanding the company's footprint in the US, as well as in two undisclosed European countries. Liberis also plans to expand its headcount by 30%.
Senior investment adviser Jerome Hershey of FTV Capital will join the company's board.
Liberis recently recruited former PayPal executive Howard Kramen as its US general manager and Pedram Tadayon, who previously worked at American Express and Nets, to oversee its European business.
Previous funding
In 2018, British Business Investments, Paragon Bank, BCI Finance, and Blenheim Chalcot provided £57.5m in debt and equity financing.

Founded in 2007, Liberis claims it had provided more than 15,000 small businesses with financing. Headquartered in London, with offices in Nottingham, Stockholm and Denver, the company employs 150 people, according to LinkedIn.
