
Arbor-backed Steelite acquires William Edwards
Arbour Private Investment Company portfolio company Steelite International has acquired William Edwards.
The acquisition is intended to strengthen Steelite's position in the luxury tableware sector, while providing investment for William Edward's growth in the development, design and manufacturing of luxury dinnerware.
Both Steelite and William Edwards will continue to operate from their current facilities in Stoke-on-Trent.
In December 2019, Arbor acquired Steelite International from PNC Riverarch Capital drawing from Arbor Investments IV. The fund held a final close $765m on July 2016.

William Edwards, founded in 1993 by William Edwards in Stoke-on-Trent, manufactures fine bone china for companies across the world. In 2018, the company launched a new retail division, William Edwards Home, which includes tableware, gift and commemorative items.
