BGF leads £9m investment in Localised Group, Retail Services
BGF, alongside British entrepreneur Peter Jones, has injected ТЃ9m in e-commerce platform Localised Group and retail specialist Retail Services Group.
As part of the deal, John Davison will join both companies as non-executive director. Davison is an entrepreneur and investor, a former global head of strategic investments of RBS, and chair of his family manufacturing business.
BGF was established in 2011 and has invested more than £2.2bn across 300 companies. The firm acquires minority, non-controlling stakes in high-growth businesses based in the UK and Ireland.
BGF has recently launched UK Enterprise Fund in partnership with private bank Coutts. The fund intends to identify and address equity gaps across the entrepreneurial ecosystem, and put in place specific initiatives to support female-led businesses and increase the diversity of management teams.

Localised Group is an e-commerce platform that specialises in designing, building, operating and optimising country-specific e-commerce sites. Its client base includes Crate & Barrel, Urban Outfitters, Anthropologie and Everlane.
