Blue Venture and HealthQuest invest in UK company Perspectum
American venture capital investors Blue Venture Fund and HealthQuest Capital have led a $36m funding round for UK-based medical software company Perspectum.
Oxford Science Innovation, Puhua Capital and the University of Oxford also joined the round.
The funding will help the business commercialise its first diagnostic product LiverMultiScan for clinical use, expand the contract research organisation business and develop additional products for biliary disease, diabetes and cancer.
After the latest round, Perspectum is understood to have raised a total of around $47m since being founded.
Garheng Kong, managing partner at HealthQuest, will join the board of Perspectum.
Previous funding
According to Crunchbase, Perspectum previously raised $10.7m over six funding rounds between 2013 and 2017.
