
WGAM buys minority stake in Validus
Walter Global Asset Management (WGAM) has bought a minority stake in risk management company Validus.
WGAM is a Montreal-based direct investor that takes stakes in asset managers.
This is the fourth transaction made by the investment company and marks WGAM's second international investment, and its largest capital allocation to date. WGAM was launched in 2018.

Validus is a financial risk management firm with offices in the UK, in London and Eton, and Toronto, Canada. The firm's clients include private asset managers, institutional investors and corporations. It was founded in 2010.
