
Evolution leads $64.7m round for Quantexa
Evolution Equity Partners has led a $64.7m series-C funding round for analytics platform Quantexa.
The round also saw participation from existing investors Dawn Capital, AlbionVC, Accenture Ventures and HSBC. New investors British Patient Capital and ABN Amro Ventures also joined the round.
Evolution Equity is currently investing from its Evolution Technology Fund, which closed on $125m in July 2017, though the firm also registered its second-generation fund in June 2019.
Richard Seewald, founding and managing partner at Evolution Equity, will join Quantexa's board of directors as part of the deal.
Previous funding
Albion took part in a $3.3m series-A funding round for Quantexa alongside HSBC in March 2017. HSBC stated at the time that the investment formed part of its strategy of supporting projects designed to detect and prevent financial crime.
Dawn Capital led a $20m series-B round for Quantexa in August 2018. Existing investors Albion and HSBC also took part in the funding round.
