Notion leads €7m series-A for Claimsforce
Notion Capital has led a €7m series-A funding round for insurance technology company Claimsforce.
The firm is investing from its fourth-generation fund, which held a first close on £75m in October 2019.
Patrick Norris, managing partner, said he is keen to expand the firm's presence in the DACH region.
Notion had been in discussions with the Claimsforce management team since Q1 2019 and provided assistance to its management up until the investment.
The fresh capital will go towards the creation of a claims management platform combining artificial intelligence and machine learning for insurers and their customers.
Previous funding
Fly Ventures, Point Nine Capital, Florian Huber and Stefan Rothlehner invested an undisclosed amount in Claimsforce in 2018. Point Nine Capital invested from its Point Nine Capital IV fund, which held a first and final close on €75m. It will make 35-40 investments in total with a ticket size of €1.5m for the initial investment.
