
BGF invests £15m in Yorkshire Wildlife Park
BGF has invested £15m in safari parks company Yorkshire Wildlife Park.
Lloyds Bank has also committed an £18m debt facility, which, along with BGF's investment, will support the expansion of the existing park. Yorkshire Wildlife Park has an aim of doubling its size and increasing the annual visitor numbers from 750,000 to 1.5 million, according to a statement.
As part of the deal, Steve Brown, a founding director of Center Parcs UK and non-executive chair of BGF-backed holiday park developer Coppergreen, has also joined the board as the non-executive chair.
Yorkshire Wildlife Park is part of Wild Life Group, which generated revenues of £12.9m in the year to 30 November 2018.

Founded in 2008, Yorkshire Wildlife Park is based in Doncaster. The company is an interactive centre for animal conservation and welfare, home to more than 450 animals and 70 different species. It employs 300 people.
