Mouro leads $26m round for Uncapped
Mouro Capital has led a $26m funding round for Uncapped, a provider of growth finance to companies.
The firm was previously called Santander InnoVentures, but has since spun out of the bank to form its own firm. Santander remains the fund's sole LP and has doubled its commitment, with Mouro currently deploying $400m.
Iron Ventures, Global Founders Capital, Seedcamp and White Star Capital also participated in the funding round. Angel investors also participating were Taavet Hinrikus of TransferWise, Christian Faes of LendInvest, David Nolan and Kevin Glynn of Butternut Box, and Carlos Gonzalez-Cadenas of GoCardless.
With the capital raise, Uncapped has widened its service range as it looks to start financing businesses at an earlier stage of development, specifically with revenue history of six months rather than nine months. Additionally, it has increased its advance sum to £2m.
Previous funding
In December 2019, Global Founders led a £10m funding round for Uncapped; the round also saw participation from Seedcamp and White Star.
Company
Based in London, with offices in Warsaw, Uncapped offers revenue-based finance to companies for a flat fee of 6%. Businesses repay the capital as they generate revenues. It was founded in 2019.
